My new English site - pannadraws.com

Mon Jul 13, 2009, 1:32 AM
Finally I finished my new site: [link]

Those who doesn't speak Hungarian (most of you, I know :P ) will find this better than my other site. It's also much developed and applies web2.0 features such as commenting on blog posts. Oh, by the way I merged the two ideas, that is, starting an artblog and making an English site, and pannadraws.com combines the two.

Also, my webdesign work has a pretty, elegant gallery as well (after all this is what I'm doing for a living, it has to have a nice gallery :D).

Now I'll get back to artwork again and will post WIP pictures and other (mostly) art-related stuff there, as well as my pictures and finished work as usual. The difference is that this site is made especially for the community so that everyone should understand and anyone can comment.

The old site, pannarajzol.hu will be updated as well but I'm not planning to make it as great as the English site is, at least not in this summer. However, the new site can be expanded easily, so there might be some new features soon ;)

Graduation, plans and incredible coming-back

Tue Jun 23, 2009, 11:34 AM
YES, I finished that freaking university (at least the BA part) and passed all my final exams. I just have to get that piece of paper and that's all. Though I applied for MA, I'll be always that naive person who thinks it will be different... :P Nevermind.

Meanwhile I didn't really had the time to draw or do anything creative beside using Google and other good source sites creatively for my thesis and such things. So I'm finished, I have to work of course, but I have time again to spend on personal art, not on designs, not on something that is made for money (i.e. I'm not the person who really creates it...) I've already uploaded some new pieces.

I plan to create a new site, an English one, for the domain pannadraws.com [link] Now it still leads you to my Hungarian site but as soon as I have a good idea about its appearance I'm going to come out with something for the English speaking community. That will be my "serious" site, perhaps later I'll make it available in Hungarian as well, but English will be its major language. I've been always trying to be sooooo serious about my reference site but after all I'm an idiot and I have to show that :)

So I'll have two sites, one for my idiot self and one for the wannabe-serious. And I have to create a blog. Its language hasn't been decided yet - I don't want two blogs with different languages, it's enough for me to make up so much stupid talk in one version - so we'll see.

Hey, and I'm finished. No more BA. Is that true?
Sure it's true ^^

New design

Tue Feb 10, 2009, 12:20 PM
It was miserable that my last entry was posted months ago so I let you know this little piece of info.

Since the old design of my site started to annoy me and I've learnt a lot of things that I did a lame way when I created it I decided to change the whole and rewrite everything... almost everything.

Most of the old things are gone; the gallery is renewed, new layout, and (mostly) reasonable code. Shiny bright colours, nice mouseovers, everything is great if you check it in a browser. BUT if you check it in IE6 it will be ugly and I will be really really sad because there are still people who use that THING. It was awfully hard to do something nice among the borders of that... thing.

It's in Hungarian. But if you are smart you will be still able to find the pics and what you need.

Cheers!

The same stuff

Well, well.

Where has summer gone? I just look out of the window and see that damned rain all day. And I have to wear my stuffed jacket. And long socks. Thick pullovers. Awful.

At least in this disgusting weather I don't care about being outside and I happily accept the fact that I have to continue this tragedy (some people call it 'university' but don't believe them) and work.

And hey, I should get my degree next semester. But I won't ^^ No one, who is supposed to graduate with me, will get it. Thank you, lovely system. Anyway, at least I can still use public transport for a cheaper price.

So what I wanted to say by mentioning all this is that I don't have too much time for stuff for my own enjoyment a.k.a. stuff that is not paid. But I am trying to do some new work (of course I have a LOT of work-in-progress pieces) so there might be some posted... as soon as they are finished. And update my poor, abandoned webpage... Seriously, I should make a new design for it. A better one. Hmm...

Italy, Milan, pizza and pomodore

Sun Jul 6, 2008, 1:09 AM
I have just returned from my trip to Milan (actually I didn't stayed in Milan, the apartment is in Galarate, near the airport). I took hundreds of photos but since photography is not my cup of tea I only post a few which I think to be good enough for posting.

Now I continue drawing (and working of course). Expect more PS pics in the future.
